V. John Ford, M.D.

Dr. Ford was born in Aurora County, Colorado. He graduated form Millsaps College in 1973, and went on to receive his medical degree from the university of MS School of Medicine in 1976. He completed his internship and residency at UMC as well.

Dr. Ford is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, Central Medical Society, and a past president of the Jackson Ophthalmology Society, and the Mississippi Society to prevent Blindness. He has also been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UMC's Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ford specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
