Richard L. Blount, M.D.

Dr. Blount graduated from Millsaps College in 1958, and received his medical degree from Baylor University College of Medicine in 1962. His internship at Emory University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas was followed by a residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 1963. Dr. Blount also served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy from 1967 until 1969.

Dr. Blount is a member of the Central Medical Society, Mississippi State Medical Association, Jackson Ophthalmology Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He now practices general ophthalmology and directs an Eye Clinic at Stewpot Ministries in Jackson.
